Pho Bang Restaurant

I work for my family restaurant called Pho Bang Restaurant. We are a Vietnamese style restaurant that serves mainly Pho, a rice noodle soup. We serve other things like assorted rice plates and vermicelli bowls

I work as an assistant manager in which I mainly take care of cashier duties as well as serving and waiting tables. Being one of the few English proficient speakers, I am able to create new customer relationships who are new to the cuisine. Customer service is the foundation of my work ethic. 

 

From this job, I learned key important aspects of a business. Being quick and precise is a must during the rush hours in order to turn tables quickly. Along with that, being able to cope with work stress is important especially when understaffed. Also, customer service has to be on point and match the needs of the customer.

Being able to speak both Vietnamese and English fluently as well as understanding the business process makes me invaluable asset at work. I am working on developing Spanish speaking ability because we are also diverse in Hispanic customers as well.
